WHAT ARE INK-BLOTS?
The “Ink-blot Test”, also known as "The Rorschach Test” was originally invented by Hermann Rorschach (1884-1922)
as a psychology/personality test used by psychiatrists on their patients.
A patient will look into a series of 10 inkblots (Some in color and some in black and white.) and then tell their psychiatrist
what they see. What they see is supposed to be a reflection of the patient's personality, fantasies, and their current mental
state.
None of the inkblots on this site were created by Hermann Rorschach. Click HERE for information on the actual
Rorschach images that were created by Herman Rorschach.
There are many different kinds of ink-blots and many different ways to make them. This site features all kinds of ink-blots
from traditional ink-blots to more unorthodox ink-blots.
WHAT DO YOU SEE IN THESE INK-BLOTS.
To make this site more interesting we want you to send us e-mails telling us what you see in these ink-blots. We plan on
putting some of the most interesting things that people from all over the world have seen in these ink-blots on
this site for everyone to read.
Remember: What you see in an ink-blot is a reflection of your personality, your fantasies, and your current mental state.
To e-mail us what you see in any of these ink-blot tests, simply click an ink-blot to enlarge it and below the enlarged image
will be an e-mail address for sending us your interpretations.
If we post one of your interpretations on this site we will credit you by putting your name and where you are from beside
your quote. So if you want to be credited please be sure that you at least leave a name. (If you don't leave a name it will be
labeled as being by "anonymous".)
INK-BLOT TEST WALLPAPER...
In the future we will be selling wallpaper for houses with these ink-blot images on them. There will be 2 different sets of
wallpaper. The first set will be in Black and White and the second set will be in Color. Each set will have 100 different ink-
blots on them. We will also be selling individual prints of all of the ink-blots in frames as well.
The wallpaper will be sold once there are 100 Ink-blots in Black and White and 100 Ink-blots in Color on this site.
Right now there are
65 Ink-blots in Black and White
36 Ink-blots in Color
101 in All
New Ink-blots will be posted when they are finished.
(Because the word “Wallpaper” usually means “Desktop Wallpaper” on the Internet, sometimes people that find this site
think that since it’s called “Ink-blot Test Wallpaper” that these images were meant to be used as desktop wallpaper for
computers. They were never actually designed or formatted for that purpose, but feel free to try it.)
